We very much enjoyed our visit by the dental nurses from Dawley Dental Practice. We helped clean the germs off the very large teeth and we helped a giraffe with a tooth that needed filling.
We learnt that we should not have too much sugar in drinks or food as this is not good for our teeth!
We hope your children have been sharing with you all the fun we have had at nursery since coming back after our Christmas break. To start the term we explored the season of winter. We hope the birds in your gardens have enjoyed the fat balls the children made for them. We have enjoyed feeding the birds, and squirrels, that visit our nursery bird table
This month we have been busy exploring our favourite stories. We have explored aliens, monsters, dinosaurs and pirates love underpants. We find these stories very funny but we also learn from these stories how our underpants are very private to us. We also explored the story of pantosaurus. We had great fun exploring the pirates are coming. We love being pirates 😍. We have thought about the days of the week along with numbers and healthy eating whilst exploring the hungry caterpillar. Over the next couple of weeks we will explore three billy goats gruff and guess how much I love you
We have thought about the letter sounds n, o, p and will have fun with activities before half term looking at an and r sounds.
We have really enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year and the year of the snake. We had fun creating our own dragon dance. A
We are now at that time of year again when these events may occur. As a lot of our families might already be aware there are occasions when nursery has to close because of flooding or heavy snow. We will do our best to inform you as quickly as we can if this is going to happen. We fully understand that these closures can make things tricky and we will only make a closure decision when absolutely necessary. We will put information on our website, use the school closure line and make telephone calls to let everyone know what is happening
As you are probably aware there has been a problem with wasps in the reception area. School did arrange for a pest controller to come out to help sort this problem but it was a bit difficult because of late hatching wasps. We think this problem has now been sorted
We are currently trying to recruit a new member of staff to our team. Please speak with Paula for further details
