First Half Autumn Term Fun 2025
We hope you have all been enjoying listening to your children and hearing all about the fun they have been having this half term. We have been exploring lots of things all about ourselves. We are compiling books with the children all about themselves. We have been learning how to keep ourselves safe indoors and outdoors. We have been learning about the importance of healthy eating, hygiene and exercise. We have been having fun exercising with cosmic yoga. This can be found on you tube kids and is a great way or exercising with your little ones at home. We have been using our mathematical skills to measure how tall we are on our height chart and then we have made a note of this on our chart to see how much we grow over the year. We have also made a chart to see which is the most popular colour of toothbrushes that are used at home. We have carried out an experiment to see how easy it is to get germs on our hands and the importance of handwashing to prevent us from becoming poorly.
We have celebrated Rosh Hashanan, Yom Kipur and Sukkot over the last couple of weeks. During the last week of this half term we will be celebrating Diwali. Lucy rabbit continues to visit us on a Monday and Friday afternoon to sing songs and play games with us. This helps us develop listening and concentration skills.
Through our phonics we have explored letters a, b, c, d and e. To further develop our children’s awareness of phonics we would like the children to bring into nursery an object from home that has the initial sound representating our letter of the week We will then show our friends what we have found.
If you have not yet had chance to bring in photos of family members and/or pets there is still plenty of time and then we can add them to our displays
